Maki began her career over 20 years ago in the Mid Atlantic region of the states where she fell in love with landscape architecture at Cornell University in upstate New York. After graduating from Cornell with a B.S. in Landscape Architecture and a Concentration in Architecture, she moved out to the west coast where she successfully lead public and private projects from conceptualization through construction for the U.S. Forest Service, U.S. Park Service, and many additional regional entities as well as a broad range of private clients in the San Francisco Bay Area. She obtained her Master of Landscape Architecture from U.C. Berkeley and continued to teach and practice in the Bay Area until she moved to Boulder in 2018. She is licensed in both California and Colorado, and splits her time between both the Eastern Sierras and Front Range.
