Yosemite Lodge Transit Center

conceptual + schematic design

The schematic design of the transit center at Yosemite Lodge required careful consideration of the surrounding environment as well as respect for the geometric demands of various transit-oriented uses. The design, conceived while at JNRA, removed conflicts between a constant flow of pedestrians, cyclists, personal occupied vehicles, shuttles, and tour buses in this tight, and critical space tucked between the Merced River and the monolithic cliffs of Yosemite Falls.
