Yosemite Bridalveil Fall

planning + conceptual design

One of the first stops in Yosemite Valley, Bridalveil Fall sees hundreds of thousands of visitors a year. The experience of walking along an ancient carriage road where early explorers of this land road, and the gentle mist on one’s face from the cascading refugio, or “hanging meadow” at the unseen valley above the rim, are just two of the powerful moments to be had at this site. Working with the Yosemite Conservancy, while at John Northmore Roberts and Associates, I completed the site analysis and conceptual design alternatives of this space highlighting and deepening the connection between people and the water while respecting the power of the fall in the early season.
